D is for Day at the Beach

So, today is ten months that I have been married to the most wonderful man on the face of the planet! He is perfect for me and I just really enjoy spending every day with my best friend. So, since it is Wanderlust Wednesday and we are talking about a day at the beach, I figured I would share some pictures and awesome activities we were able to enjoy on our honeymoon in the Outer Banks.Β

We stayed at this awesome house in 4×4 Country just north of Corolla. We drove on the beach 11 miles before we got to our house for the week. It was amazing! I loved it! It was super quiet and not crowded at all because we were so far out. It was perfect for us to just relax and enjoy hanging out with each other without noisy neighbors or looking for a place to lay out our towels on the beach. It was perfect! I want to go back so bad! We hung out in Duck, Corolla, Kitty Hawk, and went to shops and The Lost Colony (which is a must go see when you go to the Outer Banks) and had breakfast at my favorite breakfast place. Stack ‘Em High.Β It is delicious! So, here are just a few pictures that we took.Β

We saw these wild horses every single day. They were everywhere and let you get fairly close to them!

This is me getting fairly close to them. I wish I had had carrots, maybe they would’ve let me get all the way over to them!

This is another one of our friends we encountered every day. They were constantly nibbling on my toes in the sand. πŸ˜›

TJ loved ocean kayaking and took his out pretty regularly. I will be honest, it terrified me and I gave it a shot but it was definitely not my cup of tea. I like calmer waters.Β

We also did some boogie boarding. I did really enjoy that! It isn’t quite as scary when you get flipped over lol! This is my hubby being the goofball that he is.Β

While TJ was ocean Kayaking, I got sun, read, and took pictures.Β

Overall, we had the best honeymoon. It was quiet and restful and had great weather, great food, and the company wasn’t half bad either πŸ˜‰ . I wouldn’t have traded it for anything else.Β
Hope you had fun looking at my pictures!
See ya!

P.S. What do you think of my new centerpiece or decoration idea? Favorite bottle?

It is wine bottles with coffee beans inside and vanilla candles. Thoughts?

  2. Awww, again! I would love to see the wild horses. I love that your pics reveal your happiness. So sweet.

I like the bottles. Do they look ok on your table? Wonder how they’d look on my mantel? πŸ™‚

  3. Looks like yall had a great time! I’ve never been around wild horses. Really the non wild variety kinda freak me out but it’s still neat to see them just out there like that.

I like the candle/bottles. They’ll look very nice when they get a little drippy too πŸ™‚
